Listening Skills
Listening Skills is designed to help students achieve better comprehension of Canadian spoken English in workplace or other daily life settings.
In Listening Skills 1, students are introduced to strategies for effective listening including: understanding fast relaxed speech, using non-linguistic cues, inference, understanding details and making predictions.
In Listening Skills 2, students will have the opportunity to deepen the listening skills and strategies learned in part 1 by applying them to a wide variety of situations and media (on the phone, TV, radio, and internet). Students must take Listening Skills 1 before they can take 2.
